Amanda Ariss OBE is a recognised expert in equality, diversity and inclusion. With over 20 years’ experience, she specialises in diversity audits, strategy, communications, and research and analysis, and has a proven track record of improving organisational performance.

Amanda has worked with a wide range of clients in the UK and US. Some of her recent projects include diversity audits for Kobalt Music and Trinity Global and a learning and development needs analysis for employee groups at SAGE Publishing, to name a few.

Awarded an OBE in 2015 for services to diversity in the UK, Amanda is the former Executive Director of the Creative Diversity Network, where she created the first industry-wide diversity strategy for television, securing support from all the major UK broadcasters. She also launched Project Diamond, the world-leading programme for monitoring on- and off-screen diversity. Amanda was previously the Chief Executive of Equally Our, the national network of equality and human rights charities.

Amanda’s numerous advisory roles include chairing the Fawcett Society inquiry into the impact of gender equality on job seekers allowance. She has also carried out disciplinary investigations and devised national guidance on a variety of topics, including sexual harassment, for the Equal Opportunities Commission.

Amanda serves as an external member of the Law Society’s policy and regulatory affairs committee and a co-opted member of the executive committee of the Friends of the Women’s Library. She is a trustee of the touring opera company OperaUpClose and was previously on the boards of Guide Dogs UK and Vision 2020UK.
