Mediator and Equalities Law Specialist
Anthony Robinson is a highly experienced equality and human rights lawyer and consultant. A Member of the Institute of Equality and Diversity Practitioners, his specialisms include diversity, unconscious bias, human rights, employment, regulatory and public law. He has over 20 years’ experience of training leaders and teams to improve business process and professional standards. His recent clients include Veolia and Merseyside Community Rehabilitation Company. During his ten-year tenure as Director of Casework and Litigation at the EHRC (2002-2012), Anthony was responsible for the strategic management of the Legal Grants Programme of funding to 92 law centres and advisory bodies. He was lead editor of the Blackstones Guide to the Equality Act 2010, published by Oxford University Press. He is one of the founders of Equinet (the umbrella organisation for European equality bodies), and a founder member of the European Forum for Restorative Justice. He also led the Commission for Racial Equality to become the first and only civil service organisation to achieve the Lexcel standard. Anthony is a Fellow of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, a CEDR-accredited mediator, and a Member of the Law Society Human Rights Committee, the CMI and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is also currently a board member of the Community Empowerment Network.
