Consultant Unconscious Bias Diversity Inclusion
Ruth Overton is a learning and organisational development consultant with extensive experience of designing and delivering interventions in: diversity and inclusion; unconscious bias; workforce culture and change; leadership development; managing conflict and mediation, and working with looked after children. She has recently delivered diversity and inclusion and unconscious bias training programmes at Dounreay Site Restoration, Magnox and the Metropolitan Police Service. A dynamic, systemic practitioner with an MA in Consultancy and Leadership, she works in close dialogue with clients to assess the practical realities faced by individual workers, leaders and teams as well as the unacknowledged factors – assumptions, dynamics, ‘how we do things around here’ – that can present challenges (and opportunities) for real and sustainable change. Using diagnostic data, she supports clients to find the most useful interventions for people and business growth. Originally trained as a nurse and youth worker, Ruth also has extensive experience of working with young people and in the Fostering and Adoption sector and is passionate about young peoples’ empowerment.
