Diversity and Inclusion Specialist
Shelagh is a diversity and inclusion specialist with a successful track record of assisting organisations to embed best practice into their employment practices, service planning and delivery. Her experience includes strategy and policy development, diversity diagnostics, equality analysis, research and evaluation, writing good practice guidance, event management, training and facilitation. As a consultant she has worked with clients across the public, private and charitable sectors. She previously held senior diversity posts in the Civil Service, the BBC and the transport industry. Shelagh has delivered consultancy and training for EW Group at the London Borough of Havering, Santander, Veolia, Transport for London, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, and Invensys. Shelagh is a Chartered Member of the CIPD and is currently a Director of Healthwatch Islington and a trustee of the theatre company, Border Crossings. She was previously Chair of Women and Manual Trades (now Women on the Tools), a non-executive director of Groundwork UK and Vice-Chair of the Institute of Equality and Diversity Practitioners.
