Amanda Ariss OBE is a recognised expert in equality, diversity and inclusion – she was awarded the OBE in 2015 for services to diversity in the UK. An experienced executive leader, she specialises in diversity strategy, communications, research and analysis, and influencing, and has a track record of improving organisational performance. 

Amanda is the former Executive Director of the Creative Diversity Network, where she created the first industry-wide diversity strategy for television, securing support from all the major UK broadcasters. She also launched Project Diamond, the world-leading programme for monitoring on- and off-screen diversity. Amanda was previously the Chief Executive of the Equality and Diversity Forum, the national network of equality and human rights charities.

Amanda’s numerous advisory roles include chairing the Fawcett Society inquiry into the impact of gender equality on job seekers allowance. She has also carried out disciplinary investigations and devised national guidance on a variety of topics, including Sexual Harassment for the Equal Opportunities Commission. Amanda is also a Trustee of the touring opera company OperaUpClose and the charity Guide Dogs.
