Jane Wang is a global leadership and transformational coach, trainer, and facilitator focusing on DEI, intercultural communication and integration, and whole person well-being.
Born in Taipei and raised bilingually in the United States, Jane had an early interest in how humans develop and relate across differences, leading her to complete a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in international affairs and business from The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University. She also gained on-the-ground experience relating across differences while living and working in Tokyo, Paris, Taipei, Boston, and New York City, before settling back in Taipei in 2009.
After a career in global marketing and business development at corporations like Hitachi Ltd., United Electronics Corp. (UMC), and SMEs and start-ups, Jane transitioned to counselling, coaching, DEI facilitation, and cross-cultural training, obtaining certifications from the International Coach Academy (ICA) and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) along the way.
Since 2013, Jane has worked with Fortune 500 company executives and their teams as a consultant and facilitator on subjects ranging from inclusive cultures and unconscious bias, intercultural communication, and global leadership and team-building.
Jane’s familiarity with local cultural dynamics in Japan and Taiwan stem from her experience at local institutions: in Japan, working in global marketing and business development for Hitachi, Ltd., and teaching in elementary schools in a Tokyo suburb; and in Taiwan, as VP of Marketing at a publicly traded Taiwanese firm; as adjunct instructor of Communication and Multiculturalism at a local university; and founding communities in Taiwan emphasizing diversity and crossing cultures.
Jane has native proficiency in English and Mandarin, and advanced proficiency in Japanese. As a coach empowering self-actualization, Jane helps her clients become aware of and transcend their paradigms, judgments, and emotional triggers, so they can embody their highest wisdom, see expansively, lead and collaborate in complex settings, and unlock the unique power and potential they carry in life and leadership.
