Penny brings strategic advisory and change management experience gained in her work across the UK transport, housing, infrastructure, engineering and technology sectors, as well as from her previous career as a local government director, public affairs manager and government urban policy adviser in Australia. In recent years, Penny has advised international engineering and design firms, major contractors and UK asset owners and managers on change programmes supporting diversity strategy, business improvements, collaboration and high-performing teams. These achievements have built on work with the UK Office for Public Management creating bespoke leadership programmes to improve performance in local and central government.
Penny is a skilled facilitator and has delivered major consultation, conferences, senior team away days and simulations. A qualified coach, she has recently coached women engineers as part of a talent management effort for a major UK building contractor. A committed volunteer with expertise in human rights and mental health, Penny chairs Room to Heal UK and is a former board member at Foundation House, Australia. She mentors third sector leaders and recently worked as the Interim Director at the Helen Bamber Foundation, managing the transition to a new leadership model.
