Diversity and HR Specialist
Sam started her career in work rehabilitation services for adults with long-term mental ill-health. She offered practical support alongside “work readiness” programmes. Sam has over 20 years’ experience in both HR and training, with background across all sectors. Sam has supported many organisations to create a proactive approach to equality, diversity and inclusion. She has done this through a mix of consultancy, diversity audits, e-learning and practical training workshops for everyone from the Board of Directors to frontline employees.
Sam has worked with large multi-site national organisations and charities on projects to enhance the customer experience for guests with a disability. Additionally, supporting smaller businesses to attract and retain the very best employees through diversity and inclusion initiatives. Projects and workshops have focussed on creating a culture of respect, aligning diversity initiatives with company values, anti-discrimination and allyship, inclusive leadership, and eliminating unconscious bias in recruitment. Sam loves to work with teams at all levels to help them create an inclusive, positive and empowering culture for everyone in an organisation.
