I found this course a really helpful way to think strategically about leading the EDI work in our organisation. Whilst the assignment was certainly daunting it was a really useful to consolidate the learning from the online sessions and reading and contextualise this within my organisation. The feedback from the assignment has also helped to support me in my role as EDI lead.

ILM Course FAQs

Why is ILM Level 4 training beneficial for your organisation?

As an Institute of Leadership and Management Approved Centre, our ILM Level 4: Managing Equality and Diversity in an Organisation qualification will enable your managers to champion diversity and inclusion in your business. Issues of DEI are becoming increasingly important for a modern organisation, reducing employee turnover, bettering creativity, and bringing a variety of perspectives into the workplace.

An ILM Level 4: Managing Equality and Diversity in an Organisation qualification helps your D&I efforts by teaching those who are responsible for diversity how to fully grasp the issues that may hinder inclusivity and tackle them appropriately.

How does our ILM Level 4 course work?

Our ILM Level 4: Managing Equality and Diversity in an Organisation training course is open to anyone who is involved in diversity and inclusion in your workplace.

The course is facilitated by one of our course leaders who are specialist within equality, diversity, and inclusion. The course leader will hold a pre-course coaching session to discuss your needs, your organisation, and prepare you to get the most out of the course. This is followed by two half-day webinars to run you through the content in a small group. These webinars include interactive tasks where you can discuss issues, challenges, and details of your organisation with the course leader and other delegates to best prepare you for your written assignment.

Your written assignment allows you to demonstrate your understanding of equality and diversity and how you intend to implement change within your organisation. Before your submission you will have a follow-up post-course coaching session with our course leader to discuss your assignment, answer any burdening questions, and set you up in the best position to help your organisation. Included with your registration is a six-month ILM Membership allowing you access to development resources and networking opportunities.

Upon completion of the course and a pass rate for your assignment, you are awarded the ILM Level 4: Managing Equality and Diversity in an Organisation qualification and certificate.
