Navigating senior leaders and staff through major sector change
EW Group started working with Merseyside CRC to audit their functions and activities right across the organisation: from leadership and people management to customer care and community outreach.
We then supported the CRC’s leadership team through a period of major transformation as the business moved into the private sector. Several CRC leaders attended our ILM Level 7 Certificate programme, learning the commercial benefits of inclusive leadership and developing the skills and strategies to make them happen. Our consultant also facilitated on-site sessions for the whole leadership team.
The CRC have since attained the Diversity in Business Accreditation.
The success of this business planning project was the first step in the CRC embedding diversity and inclusive leadership across the organisation. They have since successfully attained our gold-standard Diversity in Business Accreditation (DiBA, now known as the Diversity Development Standard), which we re-accredit annually.
We have also researched and reported on ways in which the CRC can best support its Black, Asian and minority ethnic staff and service users in Community Payback programmes. And thanks to our longstanding relationships with their strategic leaders, we continue to provide facilitated forums for the senior management team.
“A really creative and productive process”
“By working in partnership in a ‘live’, active way with EW Group… we produced much more than just a business plan. The learning has been far more significant, more far reaching and sustained in a way that training or development could not have achieved.”
Annette Hennessy, Chief Executive of Merseyside CRC
