Webinar | 25 Years of Improving People’s Lives

Join us for this webinar to reflect on the progress made in the last 25 years in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and the impact these developments have made on people’s lives. Whilst there is much more to do to gain true equity for all, in this webinar we will take a moment to consider the significant achievements made and how this has impacted the modern workplace we know today.

We will look back at the MacPherson Report, the repeal of Section 28 in 2003, the Equality Act in 2010, Harvard launching the IAT (implicit bias test), Gender Pay, Black Lives Matter, Me Too and much more. The discussion will be led by EW Diversity and Inclusion Consultants, Teresa Norman and Marie Pye.

We will look at what we can learn from the campaigners, policy makers and thought-leaders who made change happen. We will reflect on how we can use these insights to help drive progress on equity and inclusion in the future. We will showcase examples of:

• How our understanding and insight have developed
• Policy and legislative changes that have taken us forward
• How our thinking on the built environment has changed
• How work on representation has made a difference

All of this will be brought to life by quotes and videos from some of the inspirational people who made it happen and saw the impact they had, from disability rights campaigners to Professors and thought leaders in diversity, equity and inclusion.
