Diversity and Inclusion Consultant
Tiwonge is a native Italian speaker, who brings a wealth of experience from the public, private and charitable sectors. She has worked across four continents building rapport with diverse cultures. Tiwonge’s passion is equality and diversity. Her background is in Political Science and Psychology. Her expertise is in making the complexities of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) simple for clients. She believes that EDI successes come from respecting people’s opinions; being tolerant of everyone’s views – even those that may be in contrast to our own.
Tiwonge was a leading member of the team at Barnsley Council that achieved the highest level of “Excellent” in the Equality Framework for Local Government. She is a seasoned policy writer who currently supports Athena SWAN and Race Equality Charter work at a university. She has created and delivered bespoke training courses for clients at all levels, including: Unconscious Bias, Equality Impact Assessments, Dignity and Respect, and Equality and Diversity.
Aside from her EDI career, Tiwonge is a Volunteer Skin Camouflage Practitioner, and member of the User Council for Changing Faces – the UK’s leading charity for people living with a visible difference.
