Sush started his career working in PR and recruitment, before moving into the Learning and Development space where he has worked with worldwide client bases. He has been involved in the Diversity and Inclusion arena for the past two years in leading sales teams into a wide array of industries to drive D&I goals, aspirations, and plans. Having studied Biomedical Science and Journalism at University, Sush came to see the adverse impacts that unconscious bias and disadvantage can have on certain groups – whether that be in healthcare and medicine or media and society.
Sush is our Sales Manager at EW Group, where he works in the fast-paced setting of Sales. He manages inbound enquiries, submits tenders and proposals, and helps to steer us as an organisation from a Sales perspective. If you do not find Sush on a client kick-off call, you will likely find him travelling the world and making friends in new countries.
D&I is of importance to Sush because he felt the effects of bias during his initial years looking for work after graduating, where he realised using his full name was finding him little success. After shortening it, he saw a radical increase in invites he received to interviews.
